A two-storey extension for a growing family home in Hawthorn.

The extension is a deliberate contrast to the existing Federation house retained at the front. A white brick box with clean lines and light interiors that connect to the rear garden, courtyards and the generous street trees.

Sliding timber screens on the first floor help with controlling privacy on the corner site as well as filtering the sunlight into the upper bedrooms.
